Fixed-arm A-frame

A straightforward fixed-arm design. Fewer moving parts, simple to connect and to look after.

50mm coupler

Couples to a standard 50mm tow ball on the back of your motorhome.

Rated to 2,250 kg

Suited to lighter towed vehicles up to 2,250 kg.

Three-year warranty

Backed by the same three-year Blue Ox warranty as the rest of the range.

Who The Adventurer Suits

The Adventurer is the entry option in the range. If your motorhome has a 50mm tow ball and you're towing a lighter car under 2,250 kg, it does the job simply and without fuss.

Stock is limited and the Adventurer is not being reordered, so if you would like one it pays to ask early.

If you want easier one-person connection, look at the Acclaim. For a 2" receiver hitch, the Alpha or Avail is the better fit.

Common Questions

What vehicles can I tow with the Adventurer?

Lighter passenger cars under 2,250 kg, such as compact 4WDs and small hatchbacks.

The towed vehicle needs a compatible Blue Ox baseplate fitted by an approved installer.

How does the Adventurer mount to my motorhome?

The Adventurer couples to a 50mm tow ball on the back of your motorhome. If your motorhome already has a tow ball, it attaches directly.

If you have a 2" receiver instead, you'll need the Alpha or Avail.

How does connection work?

The Adventurer is a fixed-arm A-frame, a simpler design than our self-aligning bars. You line the towed car up, couple the arms to the tow ball, connect the safety cables and lights, and you are ready.

A second person makes lining up easier. If you often connect on your own, the Acclaim is worth a look.

Where does the Adventurer store between trips?

When you arrive and disconnect, the A-frame comes off and stores in your motorhome's boot or a locker.

Do I also need a brake system?

Often, and it depends on your motorhome tow bar's unbraked rating.

The Patriot 3 is our recommended brake system. Have a look at the NZ Legal Guide for the full picture.
